This and That

RED SOX

-Josh Reddick is back quickly with Rocco Baldelli being placed on the DL with a foot injury he suffered in batting practice yesterday. With Bay's hamstring/groin acting up (he will be out of the lineup until atleast Saturday and possibly the entire series), the Sox have the crack lineup with Youk in LF. Youk hasn't played out there since '06, but this allows the Sox to get creative with the starting nine. Kotchman will actually play tonight (at 1B) with Tek out of the lineup and V-Mart at catcher. By the way, Youk offered to play LF, and that's why he's the man.
-Papi will address the positive steroid test alligations before Saturday's game. Should be interesting.
-Dice-K is reportedly going to throw off a mound on Tuesday for the first time since June. The beginning steps to a rehab assignment. I'm sure the Sox will wait until at least September 1st to bring him back.

CELTICS

-Big Baby is not happy with the Celtic's offers, but can you blame him? They are obviously low-balling him, but they're bidding against themselves. Baby deservers more, but it's a bad year to be looking to get overpaid (unless you're Marvin Williams and are about to get $9 mil per year). The fact is, he will not get what he expected after averaging 17 PPG in the playoffs.

PATRIOTS

-The Pats traded a 2011 3rd and 5th round pick to Oakland for DE/OLB Derrick Burgess. He will provide the pass rushing help we need. A post about the trade will come later tonight.
