The Celtics cut Michael Sweetney to get their roster at the league max of 15. Sweetney was an obvious choice given the teams big men depth, and their desire to not give up on their young talent.

The team can only dress 12 players, so three players will be inactive every game. Bill Walker and Tony Allen will both miss the start of the season. Lester Hudson is also a good bet to be the third not to suit up.
NOTES:
The Celtics have until October 31st to extend Rajon Rondo's contract. If the Celtics do not do so, he will enter next offseason as a restricted free agent. According to Rondo's agent, there has been no contact between the two sides. No one wants to see Rondo go, so hopefully if he's not locked up in the next 10 days the team has a plan to keep him around.
Were looking pretty good on paper..hopefully it translates over into gameplay...FC
