Celtics Rebound with an Easy Win

What a play.

The Celtics came out mad last night. After coming off their first loss in twelve games to the Sixers on Friday night. the Celtics put up a season high 122 points against the lowly T-Wolves and won easily by 18. Seven Celtics hit double figures on the night, and no starter had to play more than 35 minutes in the blowout. A 25 point halftime lead gave the C's a huge cushion, and the lead was as high as 26 in the third before the Wolves went on a little run before the starters came in to shut the door.
  • Paul Pierce was an amazing 6-6 from downtown on the night on his way to 29 points (his highest since November 22nd) in a team high 34:22. A tremendous effort from the captain, who has been struggling to score lately.
  • Rajon Rondo racked up 15 assists (3 turnovers) while adding 13 points and 3 steals.
  • Kendrick Perkins continued his consistent season with 14 points (7-10 FGs), 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. His league leading 64% shooting from the field is better than his 61% foul shooting.
  • Ray Allen had 20 points (8-14 shooting with 3 threes) and KG chipped in with 10 (4-5 FGs). KG was a ridiculous +28 when on the floor in his 28 minutes against his former club.
  • Tony Allen had 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block in 24 minutes off of the bench. He was +16 when on the court and is looking real nice since returning from his injury.
  • The Celtics shot 52% from the floor (42-81), 50% from three (9-18), and 83% from the line (29-35). They assisted on 34 of their 42 made baskets which is a fine percentage.
Now 21-5, the C's will face the Pacers on Tuesday night at home. The Pacers handed the Celtics their lone road loss of the season on November 14th 113-104, and the C's will be looking for revenge.
