Your Newest Red Sox

The newest members of the Red Sox, John Lackey and Mike Cameron held two separate press conferences today. Here's the highlights from each:

"I’m here to win, that’s the bottom line. I’ve always had a lot of respect for this organization from the other side. Winning is the biggest thing for me and I know this organization has a great chance to do that and hopefully I can help out." - John Lackey

"I haven’t really been this excited about coming somewhere since I first came to the big leagues. This is one of the most historic parks that you get a chance to play in and hopefully I’ll put a couple dents in the monster." - Mike Cameron

Lackey who will wear #40, signed a 5 year $82.5 million pact. The front loaded deal will include a $3.5 million signing bonus, $18 million in 2010, and $15.25 million each year for the final four years.

Cameron will wear #23 and his deal is 2 years for a total of $15.5 million.

All eyes are on the Mike Lowell now and ensuing 1B/3B market.
