Bruins Lose to Capitals

The Bruins played two really good periods of hockey tonight before falling to the elite Washington Capitals, who picked up their 11th straight win. Despite outshooting the Caps 42-35 on the night, the Bruins could not capitalize on many scoring chances. The only goal of the night came on a power play goal by David Krejci (10) that had the B's up 1-0 after one.

The team has now lost their last eight games in a row, 11 of the last 12, and seven in a row at home. The reeling B's play every other night until the 13th before the Olympic Break starting with a home game against the Canadiens Thursday.

MORE:
  • Zdeno Chara has been playing over two months with a broken pinkie. He will reportedly need off-season surgery.
  • Fellow defenseman Mark Stuart will miss a month with a broken finger. Tough break for Stuart as the injury almost certainly stemmed from a fight against Wayne Simmonds of the LA Kings a couple of games ago.
