Bruins Olympics Participants

With the two week Olympic break upon us, it's time to take a look at which Bruins players are involved in this year's games. This year, six Bruins were chosen to represent four different countries.
  • Zdeno Chara and Miroslav Satan will represent Slovakia. However, Satan will miss the games with an arm injury.
  • David Krejci and Vladimir Sobotka will be on the Czech Republic team.
  • Patrice Bergeron will skate for a very talented Canadian team.
  • Tim Thomas will ride the pine for the United States as Ryan Miller & Jon Quick will likely play in front of him.
United States schedule:
  • February 16th: 3-1 W vs. Switzerland
  • February 18th: 6-1 W vs. Norway
  • February 21st: USA vs. Canada
The playoff schedule will be announced on Monday at which point Team USA will have an updated schedule.

The USA can do a lot for themselves with a win over a potent Canadian squad Sunday night at 7:30. Sweden, Canada, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland, and Russia all pose very potent threats in this Olympic tournament to the US. If the boys from the United States hope to find tournament success, they must keep their foot to the pedal and not let up and any point.

Hopefully, Team USA can prove the doubters wrong and come out boasting an Olympic medal.
