For the second straight night the TD Garden was host to a series clinching game for a Boston team. The C's starting line up each played their "A" game and Glen Davis played 25 big minutes off of the bench. Things looked shaky when the C's blew a 21-point second half lead when they let Wade and the Heat go on a 24-6 run. However Ray got hot and shut the door on the Heat's chances to send the series back to Miami.
We predicted a 4-1 series victory and it was a good 4-1 by most accounts. The lone win for the Heat came on their home court in a 46-point outburst by Wade. However, the C's played with a lot of heart and even stepped up and took the Heat down in game 2 when KG was suspended.
Perhaps this team can turn it on like they claimed they would all season. The veterans looked fresh and now they have some time off before they take on the winner of the Cavaliers/Bulls series.
