The KG-less Celtics took down the Miami Heat last night by a decisive score of 106-77. Glen Davis (23 points, 8 rebounds, 9-11 FTs) and Ray Allen (25 points, 7-9 3PTs) stepped up in the absence of The Big Ticket, and they carried the Celtics throughout the night including at one time a 40-8 run. The team's defense was better than ever in this game as they forced bad passes and altered shot attempts all night. Another reason for the team's decisive victory was their rebounding. They out-rebounded the Heat 50-33 and six Celtics had 5+ boards.
The C's head to Miami up 2-0. Doc Rivers and crew need to preach to the team not to let go of the stranglehold on the series. The Cavsare on their way to their own sweep against the Bulls, and it would behoove the Celts to take care of business quickly in order to have the chance to rest up.
