The Bruins dropped another one to the Flyers tonight. With their second opportunity to send the Flyers home for the summer, the Bruins faltered. Tonight's game was an ugly 4-0 loss at home. The Bruins were flat as could be and they were not playing playoff hockey tempo.
The team is truly doing themselves a disservice now, as they will head back to Philadelphia where the arena will be bumping. Philly has taken over the momentum over the past two games and they truly believe they can win the series. Hopefully the Bruins come out firing against the Flyers on Wednesday night and control the tempo of the game.
One thing in the Bruins' favor is that Flyers starting goaltender Brian Boucher appeared to suffer a leg injury that forced him to leave the game in the second period and it looked bad. The Bruins were not able to get the puck past back up Michael Leighton, but they will gladly take on the back up that sported a 2.83 GAA this season.
In related news, the Montreal Canadiens took down the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight in Montreal and sent the series to an all decisive game 7. Best case scenario is the Bruins wrapping up business sooner than later and hoping the Canadiens win. If both the rival Bruins and Canadiens win, the Bruins would yet again get home ice advantage where they are 5-1 this postseason.
