Second Half Recap

-Andrew Walter showed poise and a solid arm on the first drive. The pressure got to him a lot after that as the protection wasn't great.
-Sammy Morris looked good against some of the Eagles' scrubs.
-Gostkowski nailed a 37-yard FG and a 49-yard boot. The pro-bowler is so reliable and valuable to this year's squad.
-LS Jake Ingram looked fine from what I could see. The kid has a pony-tail by the way.
-TE Alex Smith got more time in the second half. It appears Chris Baker is atop the depth chart right now. Ben Watson should be rushing to get back onto the field.
-Sebastian Vollmer played left-tackle.
-Patrick Chung appeared to be a ball-hawk at times finding his way into many plays. Backing up the safety spots, he found himself an impact player on the field-goal blocking unit.
-Darius Bulter had a big pass interference to set the Eagles up on first and goal, but picked off a pass on the ensuing two-point conversion.
-Second year special-teamer Matthew Slater was unimpressive returning kicks. Edelman may very well be his competition for a roster spot. He is more polished on special teams and as a WR (5 receptions tonight).
-Kevin O'Connel played sparingly as the third QB.
-Besides the players I mentioned before the game, Wes Welker and Fred Taylor did not play tonight.
