-Brady practiced without a knee brace today!!!
RED SOX
-David Ortiz is out of the lineup tonight versus the lefty Price. We'll probably see a bit more of this because Lowell and Tek can hit southpaws well. Lowell is DHing.
-Sox called up an extra bullpen arm Billy Traber and demoted Josh Reddick to AAA (he was originally called up from AA believe it or not). Traber is nothing special with only 22 Ks in 59 2/3 innings. He hasn't pitched since July 31st, so he'll be available in long relief is Penny isn't fairing well. If he's used tonight I'd expect the Sox to make another move and bring up a pitcher to replace him tomorrow. Tough luck for the 22 year old Reddick, but it means Bay and Drew are healthy enough and the Sox need the pitcher. Reddick will get regular ABs in Pawtucket.
