After playing back-to-back nights Doc Rivers sat The Big Three and elected to not run the core veterans. Doc employed some make-shift lineups last night, all of which he thought played with a lot of heart after coming back from a 14-point third quarter deficit. Eddie House capped off the comeback with 14 points and a jumper with 30 seconds left.
-Sheed, started and had 20 points (3 threes) and 9 rebounds, he tweaked his ankle in the third and did not return.
-Marquis Daniels left the contest early with an upset stomach.
-Rondo put up 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 13 assists, but shot 6-15 from the floor and just 6-14 from the line. He also played a team high 40 minutes, so hopefully he gets some rest in tonight's game.
-Big Baby added 18 points, three steals and two blocks including some clutch D down the stretch.
-Second year player J.R. Giddens got some run tonight and appears to have matured. He looked very raw last year, but he played within himself last night. Giddens only scored seven points, but he had 13 boards and showed great passing ability.
-The Celts return home tonight to square off against the Raptors.
