Bruins Dominate Oilers Again

Tuuka Rask: The Future?

The Bruins controlled the game all afternoon today as they downed the talented Oilers team 2-0. G Tuuka Rask got another start this afternoon and again played very impressively, stopping all 19 shots while posting his second shutout in only eight career starts.

It was a hard-nosed, gritty game until the third period when the Bruins were able to break through with a goal scored by W Michael Ryder, his fourth of the season. Already up 1-0, the B's were able to convert again on a fast break opportunity when sensational rookie C Vladimir Sobotka broke free and found the back of the net for his first goal of the season. The rookie also assisted on Ryder's goal earlier in the period. It was another impressive performance for W Daniel Paille this afternoon, as he registered assists on both Bruins goals and has been phenomenal since being acquired from Buffalo. Ryder, Sobotka, and Paille all had two points apiece for the Bruins and were responsible for all of the scoring in the game.

Three Star Selections: 1) D Zdeno Chara 2) W Vladimir Sobotka 3) G Tuuka Rask

The Bruins next play tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 when they visit Madison Square Garden to take on the 4th place New York Rangers.
