Celtics Win Big Again

KG was happy to play the Bulls this time around.

In a rematch of last year's first round playoff series, the Celtics annihilated Chicago. Here's how:
  • Rajon Rondo only had 2 points (1-2 shooting), but he had 16 assists and only 2 turnovers. He also added 8 rebounds (3 offensive).
  • Ray Allen scored 20 points (7-9 FGs. 2-3 3 PTs) in only 23 minutes. Nice to see Allen hit a good percentage of his shots and not play heavy minutes tonight as he had been in the first two games.
  • Pierce had 22 points (20 in the 3rd quarter) on a very efficient shooting night. The Truth nailed 5 threes, grabbed 8 rebounds, and registered three steals.
  • Garnett only had to play 24 minutes tonight as the team has had the benefit of easing The Big Ticket back into game action. He had 16 points on 7-13 shooting.
  • Perk played 20 foul plagued minutes, but he had 3 blocks and continues his amazing defense down low.
  • Eddie House was on fire tonight. The sharp-shooter had 22 points in 22 minutes and nailed four threes off of the bench.
  • Shelden Williams continues his above average play off the bench. The reserve big man had 10 points and 10 boards, and continued to demonstrate his efficiency at the free throw line (6-6 tonight).
  • Marquis Daniels and Rasheed Wallace each had 7 points in 25 minutes.
  • Lester Hudson and J.R. Giddens got into the game again tonight after the C's had blown it open. It's nice to see the reserves log some game action should they ever be forced to perform in an injury crunch.
  • Pierce led all Celtics starters in minutes with 31. No other starter played over 30 minutes. This is crucial as the C's have 5 games in 7 nights starting Sunday.
  • The Celtics limited the Bulls to 35 points in the first half and had an amazing 38 points in the third quarter.
The 3-0 C's play the Hornets on Sunday night at 6.

NOTES:
  • Glen Davis apologized to his teammates today calling his actions "stupid." Danny Ainge said Davis, who will be out 6 weeks, will not be suspended any further than his current two game. Ainge said he wanted Baby around the team during his recovery rather than being exiled. Davis was however, subject to an additional fine by the team (terms undisclosed).
