Bruins Host the Islanders Tonight

Time to turn it around.

The Bruins will host the NY Islanders (0-0-2) at the Garden for their fourth straight home game tonight. 2009 1st overall pick John Tavares will enter the rink still searching for his first NHL win. New York is in the process of rebuilding their championship status they earned in the early 90's. The Islanders young guns such as RW Kyle Okoposo, C Josh Bailey, D Mark Streit, present great potential for the organization.

As for the Bruins, it's simple. They need to play every game like they did against Carolina earlier this season. Play smart and tough in front of Tim Thomas, no turnovers in the neutral zone, and throw pucks on net. The B's understand you need to shoot to win but they've been having trouble beating opposing goalies. Special teams have been hit or miss so far this season and the Bruins dropped both games where they went "ofer" on the PP.

The team knows they are not playing to their full potential. Look for both squads to play hard for a must needed win. Tonight should be a great game of hockey.
