Patriots Inactives

Mayo returns.

Patriots declared WR Joey Galloway, RB Fred Taylor, CB Terrence Wheatley, S James Sanders, OL Rich Ohrnberger, OG Kendall Simmons, DL Terdell Sands and DT Ron Brace inactive for this afternoon's game.

Jerod Mayo is back. Look for the Patriots to go back to more of a 3-4 scheme today as they have backup defensive tackles inactive (Sands and Brace) and a more healthy LB corps. Admirable job by Guyton while filling in for Mayo while he was out and playing every defensive snap.

Ben Jarvis Green-Ellis will be active for the second time this year. Will we see him carrying the ball?

Sanders hurt his shoulder last week and was questionable all week. Safety Brandon McGowan has been getting some serious run as of late, but he has been playing near the line of scrimmage. The Patriots will either drop him back more often or rookie Patrick Chung could see his first significant defensive snaps.

Joey Galloway is a healthy scratch for the second time this year. He has displayed zero chemistry with Brady. Look for Edelman and Aiken to see snaps at WR.

Tough that Wheatley couldn't crack the game day roster with a defensive back already out (Sanders). He is clearly last on the depth chart in a deep CB position.

We are sporting the throwback jerseys today.
