Celtics Dominate Bulls

Things got testy early on when
Brad Miller clotheslined Rondo.

The Celtics handled the struggling Chicago Bulls easily tonight 106-80 for their 10th straight win. Up 8 points at the half, the C's held the Bulls to a measly 34 second half points. A well balanced attack (7 players in double figures) coupled with a great defensive effort (the Bulls shot 32.6% from the floor) was the recipe for success tonight.
  • Rondo once again led the way with 16 points (6-13 FGs, 4-5 FTs), 7 rebounds, 14 assists (5 turnovers), 3 steals, and a block. In a team high 38:31 he was an amazing +20 and has been a true catalyst of late. On the season he is averaging 11.5 points (53.2% shooting), 4.3 rebounds, 9.3 assists (2.3 turnovers), and 2.6 steals.
  • Garnett (12 points on 6-8 shooting), Pierce (14 points, 2 threes), Ray Allen (10 points, 2 threes), and Perkins (10 points, 3 blocks) rounded off the rest of the starting five as none of them played over 30 minutes in the easy win.
  • House and Sheed (15 points each) led the bench that saw an extended run tonight.
The C's head to Memphis to square off against a young 9-13 Grizzlies Monday night at 8:00.
