Bruins Blow Early Lead

Up 3-2 after two periods without centers Patrice Begeron and Marc Savard, as well as defensemen Andrew Ference and Mark Stuart, the B's looked poised to steal one on the road in Anaheim. Second period goals by Zdeno Chara (4), Matt Hunwick (6), and Marco Sturm (15) would give the Bruins three scores on just six shots in the period. However, it was not enough as the Bruins would drop their third straight (four out of five).

Tuukka Rask got the nod in net, but couldn't stop the Ducks' rush in the 3rd. On the night Rask stopped 28 of 32 shots, and this marked just the second time this season in which he has allowed over three goals. However, this one hurt the realing Bruins badly.

Tough loss for the Bruins, but it's a quick turnaround as they face San Jose Sharks tomorrow night at 10:30. At 30-10-7, it will be another daunting task for the 22-16-7 B's.
