Patriots Lose, Welker Too
Ugh. Frustrating from the get-go today, as Wes Welker, who is arguably the most valuable asset on the offense, went down on the team's first possession. The "slot-machine" tore both his ACL and MCL according to the Boston Globe, and this is a huge blow to the offensive game.
Even more discouraging was watching the team blow a 14 point fourth quarter lead, and essentially give up after a Brady pick. We have seen losses like this all too often this season, and it's a bit discouraging to see that these woes have not yet been fixed heading into our postseason.
Much more coverage to come soon on the loss, but the Patriots head to the playoffs to face the Ravens Sunday at 1 PM. The Pats squeaked by Baltimore early in the season 27-21, and were aided by a huge drop from Ravens WR Mark Clayton at the end of the game.
