Big Road Trip for the Celtics

Pierce and KG need to step up; it's that simple.

The Celtics are heading out west for three games, with Houston (35-31), Dallas (46-22), and Utah (44-24) on tap. The Celtics will be taking on three perennial Western Conference powerhouses. The C's are 13-9 against their out of conference opponents this season, and with three games in four days, these games are crucial for the Celtics. Even more, the C's next eight games will all be against Western Conference opponents.

Coming off of three easy home wins, the Celtics need to prove to themselves (and the rest of the league) that they can beat the NBA's elite. The team's struggles against the league's powerhouses have been well documented, so this is the time for the C's to quiet the critics and finish the season strong. Most importantly, the Celtics need Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett put the team on their shoulders.

Heading into the home stretch of the regular season, the Celtics find themselves tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the all important three seed. This is so important, as we've stated before, because the three seed wouldn't have to face the dread Cavs in a potential second round match-up.
