The New England Patriots announced five team captains this afternoon. They include offensive players Tom Brady and Randy Moss, defensive players Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo, and special teamer Sam Aiken.
Brady and Moss were each captains last year, but Wilfork and Mayo will be new captains with Bruschi, Seymour, and Vrabel (the captains last year) gone. This marks the first time in years that Larry Izzo will not be the special teams captain.

-Every Patriots practiced today except for Matthew Slater.
-Recently signed C/G Kendall Simmons inked a three year pact with the club. He is coming off a bad leg injury, but the team is high on the former Steelers first rounder. He will be a veteran backup on the interior O-line.
-It may be tough, but I hope to get a preview for Monday's opener up by Saturday, If not, Monday afternoon.
