This and That

CELTICS

Doc Rivers is going to go with a different lineup in tomorrow's game against the Raptors. Marquis Daniels is going to be in the in the starting lineup with Rajon Rondo coming off of the bench. Daniels, who has been playing a lot of minutes at PG off the bench, will get an opportunity to get some run with the starters.

This is a good idea by Doc because it gives Daniels a chance to develop chemistry with the Celtics' starters. Daniels is not a natural PG at 6'6", but the Celtics have been searching for a backup PG that will allow them to move sharp-shooter Eddie House to his natural two guard position. Each of the past two seasons the Celtics have added a point guard half way through the season (Sam Cassel and Stephon Marbury) but each time has not worked as they had intended. Hopefully Daniels can assert himself as that viable option.

BRUINS

Milan Lucic will not play tonight in Phoenix with an undisclosed injury. The 21-year old Lucic has three assists in six games while sporting an impressive +/- of +2. The B's called up Guillaume Lefebvre from the Providence Bruins to take Lucic's spot and he will be making his NHL debut tonight.

The 3-3 Bruins will look to build off of last night's win against the over-performing 4-2 Coyotes.

  1. That is a good idea by Doc - hope it works. Cassell and Stephon definitely did not live up to expectations, but Sam did come through with some clutch shots in the 07 playoffs. DA
