Celtics Blowout Jazz

It was an easy win for the Celts tonight. Outplaying the reeling Jazz (now 3-5) in each quarter of the game, the team had a balanced attack tonight with seven players in double figures.
  • Ray Allen was a team high +21 in his 32 minutes on the floor. He was an efficient 6-8 from the floor and nailed a three on his way to 15 points.
  • Rondo, who wasn't afraid to attack the hoop tonight, hit 7 of his 11 shots on his way to 14 points. He added 11 assists (4 TO), 2 steals, and one rebound. His defense at the position is invaluable, and he has the ability to match-up with any opposing PG in the league right now.
  • KG had a team high 18 points. The Big Ticvket looked very comfortable tonight, hitting numerous jumpers from the top of the key and on the base line. Best of all, he was able to limit his minutes in an easy win tonight.
  • Pierce had a well-rounded game scoring 13 (4/7 FGs, 3/5 3PTs) points. He added 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
  • Perkins chipped in with 10 points and 8 rebounds (3 offensive).
  • Sheed wasn't shy tonight putting up a team high 12 shots in 21:35 of play. He hit 5 of them including 2 of his 7 threes, tallying 12 points. He's camping out around the three-point line a lot, but Doc thinks he will work his way inside more as the season progresses.
  • Marquis continues to be a wonderful piece off of the bench. He had 10 points (3-5 shooting), 3 boards, and 3 assists in 21 minutes.
  • The end of the bench got in for the finals minutes, as Lester Hudson, J.R. Giddens, and Bill Walker each saw a handful of minutes.
  • One of the points of emphasis with a few off days was converting on free throw opportunities and the C's did tonight, hitting 16 of their 18 attempts.
  • Scal didn't dress tonight because of his continued back spasms.
The hot 6-2 Hawks, coming off a win against the Knicks @ MSG, play the 8-1 Celtics Friday night.
