Perkins, Allen Lead the Celtics

Don't mess with KG.

The Celtics took down a hot Bobcats team last night and made it look easy, with a final score of 108-90. Going into last night Charlotte was tops in the NBA in points allowed per game (the Celtics are third), but the C's had 62 points by the half.
  • Kendrick Perkins has been an absolute beast lately and scored 21 points (9-10 FGs, 3-3 FTs), a season high, with 13 boards and 3 blocks. He has been amazing around the hoop hitting 33 of his last 43 shots (a six game stretch) for a 76.7% clip.
  • Ray Allen was also sizzling tonight hitting 5 of his 6 threes and all 10 of his free throws on his way to 27 points. The 5 threes is easily a season high for the slumping Ray, so hopefully this is a sign of a hot stretch.
  • Pierce and Rondo each had only 8 points. Rondo chipped in with 9 assists, but turned it over 5 times.
  • KG had 16 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. He was very efficient from the floor 5-8 FGs and 6-6 FTs. In the second quarter Garnett got into a bit of a scuffle with Bobcats C Nazr Mohammed. KG slapped Nazr's hand away and got in his face further showing just how intense The Big Ticket is.
  • Rasheed Wallace picked up another technical tonight, his eighth of the season. The NBA suspends players when they reach 16.... Sheed looks bound to be suspended later in the season.
  • The Celtics hit their shots tonight, 54.5% from the floor (36-66), 58.8% (10-17) from three, and 89.7% of free throws (27-29). Their D was even better and it was a combination for success.
The Celtics (14-4) continue their four game road trip with game number three in San Antonio (9-6). Each team will be putting a five game win steak on the line.
