Patriots News


Randy Moss and Brandon Meriweather were added to the AFC's Pro Bowl roster on Friday. Moss will replace teammate Wes Welker and Meriweather will fill in for Buffalo rookie Jarius Byrd. Unfortunately Moss has to fill in for a fallen ally, but he was snubbed to begin with posting 83 catches, 1264 yards, and 13 TDs during the season. Meriweather has filled in admirably for Rodney Harrison this year, and has been the surest thing on the defensive side of ball not missing any time to injury unlike most of his companions (ie Mayo, Warren, Wilfork, Sanders). The third year player out of the U had 84 tackles, 5 interceptions (one for a TD), 2 forced fumbles, and 9 passes deflected and will head to his first Pro Bowl. Moss and Meriweather will join starters Logan Mankins and Vince Wilfork, and reserve Tom Brady.
