Sox Complete Sweep of Jays. Bring on the Yanks.

This will not be as detailed a recap and preview as normal. I need to get to bed, as I am headed to Philly in the AM for several days.

The Sox took out the brooms tonight behind Jon Lester while cruising to an 8-1 win. Lester was on tonight, throwing eight inning of one-run ball, and the Jays were just bad helping the Sox out with three errors. JD Drew blasted two HRs out of the eight spot, as out lineup was very deep with V-Mart (who also homered again) catching, and all of the other pieces in place.

The Yanks were off and the Rangers kept pace.

Note: Chris Duncan, the player acquired for Julio Lugo (.319 wit St. Louis) from the Cards, was released from Pawtucket today.

ABBREVIATED SERIES PREVIEW:

8/21 7:10 PM NESN Penny vs. Pettite (Jerry Remy announcing)
8/22 4:05 PM FOX Tazawa vs. Burnett
8/23 8:05 PM ESPN Beckett vs. Sabathia

Won't be able to throw any crazy numbers at you right now, but the Sox need try and grab two out of three in this series. Unfortunately Penny AND Tazawa will be going, but if the offense can keep it up then we have a shot to grab the series.

Sorry I couldn't give you more information; hope you enjoyed the Patriots post. Like I said, I will be away the next several days, but I will try and keep the blog up-to-date.
